“Time has taken its toll on you
The lines that crack your face
Famine, your
body it has torn through
Withered in every place”
-Metallica.
Today, I figured would be a good time to talk about the homeless. Not any particular homeless person, but just in general. At work, I notice a lot of homeless people hanging around in the general vicinity. There are young bums, old bums, male and female bums. Part of me feels bad, knowing that a very high percentage of homeless people have mental health issues. But another part of me can’t help but feel disgust and disdain for the guys hitting up old people for money in the parking lot. I wish I could take all the mentally healthy homeless people, the ones who are addicted to drugs and of able body/mind and force them to pick up garbage, maybe sweep the streets for money. Seeing them stumble through the street makes me think of zombies.
Anywho, rant over.
What else am I going to talk about? Hmm… I’ve been playing guitar more. Wish I had more disicipline and could focus on one thing to play/practice. That’s a new goal of mine. Learn it from a more musical aspect and learn to play a couple songs or two.
I have currently learned 20 seconds of Black Label Society’s cover version of “The First Noel” by ear. Proud of myself, I must say.
Here. Have a listen.
Anywho. Third blog post down. From now on, on some level I’ll have each post have something to do with the title, whether it be a direct reference or a fragment of a song.
